Many of our customers aren’t old enough to remember when Rewind Video and the building we’re in were almost sold off to out-of-town fat cats who wanted to turn it into a big-box hardware store.
The neighborhood fought back. We washed cars and walked dogs; held bake sales, chili cook-offs, 50-50 raffles, & bingo nights; and when we still came up short, we danced. Danced until we saved the store.
And now the data centers are coming. The greedheads aren’t satisfied with a wildly successful business like Rewind Video on their property, because the pursuit of growth at all costs always comes first. So we dance.
